“Views of the World” is a comic I created in 2007. It stemmed from frustration with the Bush Administration and the Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was originally published in the Hutchins Literary Magazine Zephyr.
Since it’s writing, the Bush Administration ran its course, many more American troops died in in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even more veterans committed suicide than were killed in combat. (http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/1-more-us-soldiers-committed-suicide-than-died-in-combat/),
Also, an estimated 1 million Iraqi civilians died during the U.S. occupation (http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/1-over-one-million-iraqi-deaths-caused-by-us-occupation/).
On re-reading this (it has been years) I realized that I used the term “Inner Geographies” way back then. I thought I came up with “Inner Geographies” when I titled the Art Show in 2011.
